I recently purchased an ECE bowsaw, and as frequently the handles had been varnished in excess of the not-so-smooth surface still left by the machines. I scraped the varnish off equally handles, then carved some aesthetic and ergonomic details on the flatsawn just one: broke the symmetry in the take care of form, manufactured a hollow curve into the conclusion grain, and included a pair chamfers.
Future is to copy the improvements to the other manage, and use some tung oil. Hopefully the great quartersawn beech grain will pop nicely…
