The Brothers Grimm popular German fairy tale Hansel & Gretel is illustrated in the Witch’s Hut. The Hut brings to life the story of the kids of the inadequate woodcutter. Their life improved without end immediately after dropping their way in the middle of a deep forest and getting a witch’s hut developed out of delightful gingerbread goodies and candies. The witch locks up Hansel, and his sister Gretel has to function for the witch. With guile the young children triumph over the witch’s prepare to take in them.

Considering that its opening in 1970, the Witch’s Hut has been visited by 1000’s of persons. It is also a favourite item for photographers and the web-site of the Fairy Tales Festival. It was a Centennial Task of the German Community of Manitoba and a present to the youngsters of the Province. Its devotion ceremony and formal opening was in October 1970. The Hut was created by the nicely known Manitoba architect Hans Peter Langes. It is spherical in form and hence not at all like the conventional gingerbread residence. John Nelson did the actual masonry and handcrafted woodwork.
