The Virgin Mary Church in Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

St Mary the Virgin, Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

Ian is embarking on another business trip, traveling to Warrington for an audit at the head office. Despite not being excited about being audited himself, Ian sets off early in the morning, keen to begin his journey. After dropping his partner Jools at the pool, Ian sets off to pick up his rental car, but is disappointed to find that he has been given a Toyota Yaris instead of a larger car. Despite this setback, Ian is determined to make the most of his trip and decides to stop along the way to visit St. Mary and All Saints, a 15th-century church that was once the parish church of the House of York and the burial place of several kings, including Richard III.

After spending some time exploring the church, Ian continues his journey, planning to stop at another interesting church along the way. He passes through the village of Titchmarsh, which he finds very picturesque, and stops to take a look at the local church. Although he doesn’t find anything of great interest inside the church, Ian is satisfied with his stop and continues on towards Warrington.

As he drives, Ian notices that it has begun to snow, but he presses on, hoping to make it to his friend Teresa’s house before the roads become too treacherous. After a delay due to a crash on the M6, Ian finally reaches Teresa’s house, where he spends an hour catching up with her before receiving a call from a colleague warning him that heavy snow is falling and he should try to make it to his hotel as soon as possible.

Driving through the snow, Ian finally reaches his golf resort just in time for dinner. Despite his treacherous journey, Ian is excited for the audit and the chance to prove himself as a competent auditor.
