St. George’s Anglican Church, a wooden church created in the Gothic Revival fashion in 1876 underneath the supervision of George C. Jerrett. It was presumably designed by men of the congregation and other men of the city. Significant interior capabilities include things like the open gable beam and timber ceilings, plastered walls and the reality that it is in approximately initial problem with only a handful of additions. All of the original woodwork has been retained. It is a landmark in Brigus, both equally from the land and sea. It served the Anglican Congregation of Brigus and some encompassing places as a church, until finally it was sold (to the St. George’s Heritage Committee Inc.) in 2004.The first bell tower, which was wrecked through a storm all-around 1940, is prepared on being reconstructed. It acquired recognition of its significant historic benefit when it turned a registered heritage construction in 2004. These days the developing isused for concert events, plays, marriages etcetera ., and is open and preserved as an historic constructing.
