Ian is on a work trip to the UK’s head office in Warrington. Despite not being keen to go, he wakes up early, goes for a walk and takes some pictures. He loads up his car and hits the road. He has no sat nav, so he uses his phone for directions and music. When he sees a church nearby, he decides to make a detour. The church is St Mary and All Saints, which was the parish church of the House of York, of whom several kings, including Richard III, were from. He takes pictures of the church and then continues his journey. He sees another church and visits Titchmarsh, but doesn’t find anything of interest inside. He continues driving and notices snow falling. He arrives at his friend’s house and chats for an hour before receiving a call to warn him of heavy snow. Ian sets off for his hotel, but the final six miles are on a snowy main road with only an inch of snow but slippery nonetheless. He makes it to the hotel safe and sound.
