We had a blast at the initially meetup for Tam Makers, our new makerspace in Mill Valley. We hosted this totally free party at the wood shop at Tamalpais Higher College in Mill Valley on June 8, 2016.
A varied team of persons arrived to the take a look at the store, study about our courses and go over how to mature our maker group. Members ranged from knowledgeable artists, technologists, makers and woodworkers, to individuals interested in finding out new capabilities, as effectively as substantial faculty and center university learners and their mother and father.
We opened the store at 6pm and individuals started off to hook up suitable away, examining out some of our demos, demonstrating off modern tasks and touring the space. At 7pm, we gave a presentation on Tam Makers, and talked about our initially programs, meetups and tools for older people and youth. Most people have been pretty interested in taking part in Tam Makers and utilizing the makerspace consistently. They also favored the combine of courses, ranging from maker art to technology and woodworking.
