Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a free of charge celebration that showcases young makers in Marin County. We offered some of the interesting jobs our users produced in our makerspace: classy packing containers, wood bowls, robotic arms, interactive artwork and gizmos.
This year’s highlighted show was a Time Device created by our Maker Artwork course at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all working day to reveal this modern just after-university job, which brings together art, technological innovation and storytelling — utilizing Arduino, motors, lights and seems.
We also invited people to make their possess Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slash styles, and color markers. They made some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the demonstrate. Absolutely everyone appeared to delight in their knowledge with Tam Makers: children, mother and father, makers and woodworkers all had a fantastic time building art alongside one another and studying from every other.
It was a terrific way to rejoice art and science and motivate young children to establish a superior environment.
Marinovators took place on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the College or university of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Space #245 in the new Educational Heart.
