Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a free party that showcases youthful makers in Marin County. We presented some of the neat tasks our users designed in our makerspace: sophisticated containers, wood bowls, robotic arms, interactive artwork and gizmos.
This year’s showcased exhibit was a Time Machine established by our Maker Art course at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders have been on hand all working day to demonstrate this modern right after-university project, which brings together art, technological innovation and storytelling — making use of Arduino, motors, lights and seems.
We also invited site visitors to make their have Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slash designs, and coloration markers. They established some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the present. Absolutely everyone seemed to enjoy their expertise with Tam Makers: youngsters, dad and mom, makers and woodworkers all had a superb time earning artwork with each other and understanding from every other.
It was a fantastic way to rejoice art and science and motivate kids to create a much better planet.
Marinovators took area on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the College of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Area #245 in the new Educational Middle.
