Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a totally free event that showcases young makers in Marin County. We introduced some of the awesome jobs our associates made in our makerspace: classy boxes, wood bowls, robotic arms, interactive art and devices.
This year’s featured show was a Time Device produced by our Maker Artwork course at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all day to show this ground breaking right after-school challenge, which brings together artwork, technological innovation and storytelling — applying Arduino, motors, lights and seems.
We also invited readers to make their possess Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser cut designs, and shade markers. They designed some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the present. All people seemed to take pleasure in their expertise with Tam Makers: youngsters, moms and dads, makers and woodworkers all had a superb time building artwork with each other and mastering from every other.
It was a great way to celebrate art and science and stimulate youngsters to construct a better planet.
Marinovators took position on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the University of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Space #245 in the new Educational Middle.
