Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a absolutely free party that showcases younger makers in Marin County. We presented some of the awesome initiatives our associates designed in our makerspace: tasteful containers, picket bowls, robotic arms, interactive art and gizmos.
This year’s featured exhibit was a Time Machine designed by our Maker Art course at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all day to demonstrate this innovative after-university undertaking, which combines artwork, technological innovation and storytelling — working with Arduino, motors, lights and appears.
We also invited readers to make their very own Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser reduce styles, and colour markers. They established some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the show. Everyone appeared to take pleasure in their encounter with Tam Makers: small children, mothers and fathers, makers and woodworkers all had a fantastic time generating artwork with each other and mastering from just about every other.
It was a excellent way to rejoice artwork and science and inspire kids to create a greater globe.
Marinovators took area on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the School of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Space #245 in the new Educational Center.
