Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a absolutely free function that showcases younger makers in Marin County. We presented some of the interesting jobs our members produced in our makerspace: tasteful packing containers, wooden bowls, robot arms, interactive artwork and devices.
This year’s highlighted exhibit was a Time Device made by our Maker Art course at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders ended up on hand all working day to display this revolutionary after-college job, which combines artwork, technological innovation and storytelling — making use of Arduino, motors, lights and seems.
We also invited website visitors to make their have Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser lower designs, and colour markers. They produced some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the display. All people appeared to delight in their working experience with Tam Makers: youngsters, mothers and fathers, makers and woodworkers all experienced a excellent time earning artwork collectively and learning from each other.
It was a fantastic way to celebrate art and science and really encourage small children to establish a much better earth.
Marinovators took spot on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the Faculty of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Room #245 in the new Tutorial Centre.
