Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a totally free celebration that showcases youthful makers in Marin County. We presented some of the cool jobs our users created in our makerspace: classy boxes, wooden bowls, robot arms, interactive artwork and devices.
This year’s showcased exhibit was a Time Equipment created by our Maker Artwork class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders have been on hand all day to demonstrate this impressive following-college project, which brings together art, know-how and storytelling — making use of Arduino, motors, lights and sounds.
We also invited readers to make their very own Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser reduce shapes, and shade markers. They developed some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the present. All people appeared to delight in their experience with Tam Makers: children, dad and mom, makers and woodworkers all experienced a great time making art alongside one another and understanding from each other.
It was a fantastic way to rejoice art and science and motivate youngsters to construct a greater globe.
Marinovators took place on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the College of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Area #245 in the new Tutorial Centre.
