Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free occasion that showcases younger makers in Marin County. We presented some of the great tasks our members established in our makerspace: stylish containers, wooden bowls, robot arms, interactive artwork and gizmos.
This year’s featured show was a Time Device made by our Maker Artwork class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all working day to display this innovative following-faculty task, which combines art, know-how and storytelling — using Arduino, motors, lights and appears.
We also invited people to make their personal Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser minimize styles, and coloration markers. They designed some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the demonstrate. All people seemed to appreciate their practical experience with Tam Makers: young children, dad and mom, makers and woodworkers all had a wonderful time generating art jointly and learning from just about every other.
It was a good way to rejoice art and science and really encourage little ones to make a better environment.
Marinovators took position on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the School of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Room #245 in the new Tutorial Heart.
