Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a totally free party that showcases younger makers in Marin County. We offered some of the neat assignments our members created in our makerspace: stylish bins, picket bowls, robotic arms, interactive art and gizmos.
This year’s showcased exhibit was a Time Machine produced by our Maker Artwork class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all working day to exhibit this modern right after-school project, which combines artwork, know-how and storytelling — using Arduino, motors, lights and sounds.
We also invited website visitors to make their possess Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slice styles, and coloration markers. They established some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the demonstrate. Absolutely everyone appeared to appreciate their working experience with Tam Makers: kids, mom and dad, makers and woodworkers all experienced a excellent time earning art together and finding out from each other.
It was a good way to rejoice art and science and encourage kids to make a superior earth.
Marinovators took location on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the College or university of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Area #245 in the new Educational Centre.
