Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a totally free event that showcases younger makers in Marin County. We presented some of the amazing assignments our users designed in our makerspace: exquisite packing containers, wooden bowls, robotic arms, interactive art and gizmos.
This year’s highlighted show was a Time Machine designed by our Maker Artwork class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all working day to demonstrate this innovative just after-college venture, which brings together art, know-how and storytelling — making use of Arduino, motors, lights and sounds.
We also invited people to make their own Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser reduce styles, and color markers. They designed some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the demonstrate. Anyone seemed to get pleasure from their knowledge with Tam Makers: youngsters, mother and father, makers and woodworkers all experienced a wonderful time making art together and understanding from each other.
It was a good way to rejoice art and science and inspire kids to develop a greater environment.
Marinovators took spot on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the College or university of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Home #245 in the new Educational Heart.
