Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free celebration that showcases young makers in Marin County. We introduced some of the awesome assignments our associates produced in our makerspace: sophisticated packing containers, picket bowls, robotic arms, interactive artwork and gizmos.
This year’s highlighted show was a Time Device produced by our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all day to demonstrate this impressive following-faculty venture, which brings together art, technologies and storytelling — using Arduino, motors, lights and appears.
We also invited website visitors to make their personal Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser cut styles, and coloration markers. They developed some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the present. Absolutely everyone seemed to get pleasure from their experience with Tam Makers: kids, mom and dad, makers and woodworkers all experienced a excellent time creating art with each other and understanding from every single other.
It was a fantastic way to celebrate art and science and encourage young children to establish a superior environment.
Marinovators took area on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the Faculty of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Space #245 in the new Academic Heart.
