Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free event that showcases young makers in Marin County. We presented some of the great jobs our associates produced in our makerspace: classy containers, wooden bowls, robotic arms, interactive artwork and gizmos.
This year’s showcased show was a Time Equipment made by our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders have been on hand all day to display this innovative after-faculty venture, which brings together art, know-how and storytelling — making use of Arduino, motors, lights and sounds.
We also invited people to make their individual Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser cut styles, and coloration markers. They made some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the display. Every person seemed to get pleasure from their practical experience with Tam Makers: little ones, parents, makers and woodworkers all had a superb time making artwork alongside one another and discovering from just about every other.
It was a wonderful way to rejoice art and science and inspire small children to develop a superior planet.
Marinovators took location on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the School of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Home #245 in the new Academic Middle.
