Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free party that showcases youthful makers in Marin County. We introduced some of the cool initiatives our members designed in our makerspace: sophisticated containers, wood bowls, robotic arms, interactive art and devices.
This year’s featured exhibit was a Time Equipment designed by our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders ended up on hand all day to demonstrate this progressive following-faculty project, which combines art, engineering and storytelling — working with Arduino, motors, lights and appears.
We also invited people to make their personal Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slice designs, and colour markers. They produced some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the exhibit. Everybody seemed to love their practical experience with Tam Makers: children, mother and father, makers and woodworkers all experienced a superb time generating artwork together and studying from just about every other.
It was a terrific way to celebrate artwork and science and really encourage children to create a improved world.
Marinovators took place on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the University of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Area #245 in the new Tutorial Middle.
