Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free party that showcases young makers in Marin County. We introduced some of the cool jobs our associates made in our makerspace: sophisticated boxes, picket bowls, robotic arms, interactive artwork and gadgets.
This year’s highlighted show was a Time Machine produced by our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders were being on hand all working day to display this innovative immediately after-college job, which brings together art, technology and storytelling — employing Arduino, motors, lights and sounds.
We also invited guests to make their personal Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser lower designs, and coloration markers. They established some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the clearly show. All people seemed to delight in their experience with Tam Makers: youngsters, parents, makers and woodworkers all experienced a wonderful time creating artwork alongside one another and finding out from each individual other.
It was a great way to rejoice artwork and science and motivate children to create a improved globe.
Marinovators took area on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the Faculty of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Home #245 in the new Tutorial Centre.
