Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free party that showcases younger makers in Marin County. We presented some of the amazing jobs our users created in our makerspace: elegant packing containers, wood bowls, robotic arms, interactive artwork and gadgets.
This year’s featured exhibit was a Time Machine developed by our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders have been on hand all working day to demonstrate this revolutionary just after-university venture, which brings together art, know-how and storytelling — utilizing Arduino, motors, lights and seems.
We also invited readers to make their have Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slice styles, and shade markers. They established some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the show. Everybody seemed to delight in their practical experience with Tam Makers: children, mother and father, makers and woodworkers all experienced a amazing time making artwork jointly and learning from each individual other.
It was a terrific way to celebrate artwork and science and inspire children to construct a better planet.
Marinovators took location on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the University of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Home #245 in the new Academic Centre.
