Tam Makers hosted an exhibit at Marinovators 2017 — a absolutely free event that showcases young makers in Marin County. We offered some of the neat jobs our users created in our makerspace: sophisticated bins, wood bowls, robot arms, interactive artwork and gizmos.
This year’s showcased exhibit was a Time Equipment developed by our Maker Artwork class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders had been on hand all working day to demonstrate this ground breaking soon after-faculty project, which brings together art, technological know-how and storytelling — utilizing Arduino, motors, lights and sounds.
We also invited site visitors to make their individual Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slash designs, and shade markers. They produced some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the display. Absolutely everyone appeared to appreciate their expertise with Tam Makers: youngsters, moms and dads, makers and woodworkers all experienced a superb time making art jointly and understanding from each individual other.
It was a good way to celebrate art and science and really encourage children to develop a far better planet.
Marinovators took place on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 3pm, at the Faculty of Marin in Kentfield. Our Tam Makers booth was in Space #245 in the new Tutorial Heart.
