Tam Makers hosted an show at Marinovators 2017 — a cost-free occasion that showcases youthful makers in Marin County. We offered some of the neat projects our members designed in our makerspace: sophisticated boxes, wooden bowls, robotic arms, interactive art and gadgets.
This year’s highlighted exhibit was a Time Machine established by our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français in Sausalito. Our 4th and 5th graders ended up on hand all day to show this ground breaking soon after-school venture, which combines art, engineering and storytelling — making use of Arduino, motors, lights and appears.
We also invited visitors to make their possess Tam Makers badges with LEDs, laser slash designs, and coloration markers. They produced some ingenious badges, and wore them proudly at the clearly show. Everybody seemed to delight in their practical experience with Tam Makers: kids, mom and dad, makers and woodworkers all experienced a amazing time earning art collectively and finding out from every single other.
It was a fantastic way to rejoice artwork and science and motivate kids to create a far better entire world.
