The notion guiding this task was to create a very simple and helpful woodworking vice that could be clamped to my makeshift workbench (my desk). As I do not have any metallic working equipment, and only a several hand tools, a wood based mostly vice manufactured feeling. Also, the picket clamps I manufactured a few weeks ago have carried out so well that they appeared to be a superior foundation for the job.
As you can see, the MDF and the 2×1 is scrap (as a result the paint), all that is new is the M6 studding, nuts and washers.
This is a somewhat straightforward construct, just be sure to keep the vice faces and the back again rail sandwiched together with clamps just before drilling the holes for the studding – fantastic alignment will make improvements to the energy.
I have widened the holes on the entrance encounter to 9mm to strengthen journey.
