A continuing journey in the initial Cass Complex Significant University yeilds some fascinating pictures.
Cass Complex High College, previously recognised as Cass Union College, was launched in 1861. Cass Union School was established to offer instruction in woodworking and steel trades for youthful guys. The college was crafted on land given to the Metropolis of Detroit by previous Secretary of Condition and Michigan Governor Lewis Cass. The donated land formed a triangle at Next Avenue, Grand River Avenue, and Large Avenue West. That land experienced a pickle manufacturing unit on it, but they reworked it into a faculty constructing. In 1918, Cass Technical High Faculty lent its house to Ford Motor Company exterior of regular school hrs to enable their workforce obtain to the industrial teaching facilities within just the developing.
