The graphic reveals just one of the proposals for the new start. It reused quite a few elements of the current Blue path which meant it would help you save building time and not disturb trees and the like any more than required.
A Red grade area was prepared for the best still left. This would incorporate berms, jumps, woodwork and optional slim planks.
Following strolling the spot numerous moments it was realised that a crossover juntion would let the trail to go down the steepest part and return up the shallowest portion.
When approaching from the start out loop then Blue riders would transform left to steer clear of the Purple segment, even though Red riders would go straight on. The Red riders would return up the 4th arm of the junction and go straight on to rejoin the key trail. They could also pick to convert correct to go round the Red loop once again.
The dotted line shows a feasible long run extension.
This design was picked for the new start out.
Due to the fact some of the floor was truly boggy we experienced to develop first rate foundations applying hardcore rubble. We sourced all of this from freecycle alongside with various loads of rocks.
The portion was opened late on Sunday 14th March 2010.
