St Mary the Virgin, Titchmarsh, Northamptonshire

Ian is traveling for work to Warrington in the UK for an audit. After an early morning swim by Jools, they set out from home by car. Ian had hoped for a bigger car; however, he was given a Toyota Yaris which wasn’t as comfortable as he anticipated for the long-distance journey.

On the way, Ian drove around the village of Titchmarsh and visited the beautiful 15th-century Church of All Saints in Fotheringhay where Richard III was buried. Ian also made a stop to see his former colleague in Warrington before continuing the journey towards his hotel.

Heavy snow started to fall on the way to the hotel which made the driving treacherous. Ian was running low on fuel but was determined to make it to the hotel safe and sound. Fortunately, he arrived safely at the golf resort where he was staying for the next three days.

Ian was on a business trip to Warrington, UK for an audit. He woke up early and packed as Jools went for a morning swim. The promise of snow in Manchester made him excited. He was dropped off on the promenade to take a walk and click some photographs before picking up the car from the car rental facility that opened a couple of minutes late. Unfortunately, he didn’t get his preferred car with an automatic transmission, but he got a Toyota Yaris that struggled to get up the Jubilee Way.

Ian then went home, packed the car, said goodbye to his cats, and off he went to visit an old colleague who lived in Warrington. He programmed her address into the phone, and he was on his way. He connected his phone to charge, and it started playing tunes from his Apple music store. The miles flew by while he drowned the sound of the engine with the music.

Ian had an extra purpose to sweeten his journey; he visited the St. Mary and All Saints Church in Fotheringhay, Northamptonshire, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned and executed. It was a 15th-century architecture, and the parish church of the House of York, including King Richard III. After capturing some pictures, he planned to visit more churches on the way, but he avoided the urban ones and went straight to the Titchmarsh Church. Not much there, so he hit the road to Warrington, and his phone notified him to reach Warrington by 4 pm.

Ian reached Warrington at 4:30 pm, and his friend Teresa wouldn’t be home until half-past, so Ian decided to take another break on the way. On the way back, big, fat, wet flakes of snow started falling, and Ian had to drive carefully. It delayed him for an hour due to a crash on the M6 highway, and he had to press on further north before entering the town.

Finally, Ian reached his destination, a golf resort where he would be staying for a few days. His final mile was slippery, and the fuel warning light went on, but he was relieved to make it to the hotel and have dinner.
