Wendy Maruyama
Wendy Maruyama was one of the very first women of all ages to graduate from the College for American Craftsmen at the Rochester Institute of Technological innovation. Since the early 1970s, Maruyama has been training: first metalworking and jewellery, then woodworking and home furniture style and design at SDSU.
Her initially set up piece, ?Govt Get 9066/The Tag Project? dealt with the internment of 120,000 Japanese People in 1942. This function drastically altered the Japanese American psyche though being a historic footnote to most Individuals. Her award-profitable work has been revealed nationally and internationally and is in the long-lasting collections of many artwork museums in the U.S. and the U.K.
