    I was questioned by a buddy of mine in England to generate a ring box for his wedding day, coming up later following week. He asked me several months in the past if I would, after he’d seen the modest pillboxes I would made with sliding lids. So, in regular trend, I waited til this previous weekend to get heading on making this.

    The finished box right here is 5-1/2 inches (140mm) extended by 4 inches (100mm) large by 11/16 inch (17.5mm) thick. I made it from a properly figured scrap of maple I obtained as a piece of leftover wooden from a home furniture project at operate. The box was sanded down to 220 grit, and concluded with a hand-rubbed mineral oil and carnauba wax combination, adopted by a spray shellac.
