    Rogue Frontier

    Rogue Frontier is a collaborative display by 24 members of RogueBricks, showcasing a mountainous western landscape reminiscent of Canada’s pioneer era. Members contributed their own unique modules to the display, including a fort with soldiers, a train station with a water tower, a small mining town with a sawmill, an Indigenous village, and more. The display was originally planned three years ago but was postponed due to the pandemic. It was finally exhibited at Bricking Bavaria 2022, where it won 1st place in both visitor and exhibitor voting. The team dedicated the project to Ben Tritschler, a member who passed away earlier this year.

    Lobster scenes have constantly been in demand from customers, and I’ve satsified my collectors with this unique matter make a difference. I definitely believe that, primarily right here in New England, that quite a few viewers/collectors fee simply because of their fascination with the very small bouys that dot the waters -figuring out that at the stop of these bouy-lines is a treasured lobster entice.

    Below in this scene I portray fishermen in a Friendship sloop pulling up traps along the Maine shoreline. It was a great undertaking carving this out of wooden. I went as far as dropping myself with the realistic miniature sandwiches and consume I placed on the dashboard -also carved of wood.

    I have produced these as tabletop parts with miniature brass lamps higher than the circumstance. The influence that this provide upon the vessel and the glass-like h2o is just one phrase earlier mentioned ‘amazing’. These are really gorgeous accent pieces to any maritime setting.

    Produced fully of wooden, at 3/32″ = 1′ scale, this was a two month venture. There are lots of styles of MARY POWELL built as she appeared in later on several years, but this is the initial design of its form exhibiting her when she first arrived to the Hudson River in New York in 1861.

    Now we can see the window frames and stucco detail a small much better. The window to the correct above the door has an organic and natural stain glass sample to it. The double window under has a diamond criss cross in it. The doorknobs them selves are the heads of nails, the rust colour is.. effectively.. rusty nail heads!

    As an experiment I attempted different styles for every of the windows. I created wooden masters, poured silicone rubber molds, then 2 component resin elements. It saves alot of time re-building components for other properties.

    Approximately 24 inches tall mounted on a round base, inside lit. Remember to see the other image in the stream that offers the scale greater 🙂

    All wood & rigid materials building. No clay, foamcore, card inventory, fimo, super sculpey, and many others..
