Untreated Pallet Wood Hen House Design & Construction. Poulailler de bois de palette. Gallinero de madera de palet

I built and constructed this hen property a few of several years back but thanks to common demand from the other flock of chicks, we’re now going improve their accommodation far too. The weather conditions has been awful and I have managed to make all the sections in the workshop but am now just waiting around for a very good working day so we can assemble it. In the meantime I’ve made a film exhibiting the style and design and the development, the backlink is : www.youtube.com/observe?v=wNkQUBphFfA&checklist=%2Fwatch%3Fv... We also intend to make a couple of larger sized versions of this property in kit type to acquire with us when we shift, to reside in while we establish our Eco Residence.

  • “March 2021 Update: Beautiful Beech Fireplace Mantels Now Available!”

    Beech fireplace mantel Mar 2021

The fireplace mantel described in this content is made from an authentic beech beam recovered from a barn in Western NY. The wood used to make this mantel was cut 100-150 years ago and the trees from which this wood came were 200-300 years old. The wood is very dense with very tight rings, making it far superior to other woods. The person who created this mantel feels a connection to the wood, a connection to the past and to the history of the wild landscapes of America. There is an aura about this old wood that cannot be replicated in new wood. Each piece of old wood has its own unique character, due to its age, cut, use and exposure to sun and weather. Once it is finished, its unique characteristics really come out. Overall, this piece is aesthetically pleasing and loved by its owners.

  • January 2020 Project: Building a Table for the Basketball Court

Basketball Court Table Project Jan 2020

The article discusses the idea of harvesting gymnasium floors from schools, which are often replaced every 20-50 years, and using the wood for various applications such as counters, tables, desks, and bar tops. The author describes the process of creating a gym floor table for a customer using a rare piece of flooring that still had its original graphics intact. The process included removing the sleepers (essentially 2×3 pieces of wood), adding low profile stiffeners and aprons made from extra pieces of maple wood, and using mortise and tenon joints for the corners. The author also refurbished old conference table legs by sanding, priming, and repainting them in glossy white enamel paint. Finally, the top and sides of the table were sanded and coated with a satin, water-based polyurethane.

    Desk Project MM Jun 2021

The content is about a small desk designed for a customer’s small apartment space. The desk is made of reclaimed hemlock barn siding because the inside of the lumber is browner and retains all the sawmarks from when it was cut. The outside is usually too weathered and craggy for furniture.
