    The Caledonia Yawl was built by Ian Oughtred for construction in glued lapstrake marine plywood, and is just one of his most common models. (The boat in the fast foreground is the Paul Gartside-built motor-cruiser JENNIFER).

    We constructed this boat, one of two so considerably, for Camp 4 Winds/Westward Ho on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands in Washington Point out. www.fourwindscamp.org/

    It is 19′ 6″ extended with a beam of 6′ 1″. She’ll attract about 11 inches with the centerboard up and 3′ 6″ with the centerboard down. The boat weighs about 350 pounds in its “as-intended” configuration, and can simply be personalized to an owner’s needs. It can be developed as a sloop (just one mast) or yawl (two masts).
