Pre-sanding, here is how the bottom of the top panel turned out. You can see the wax paper adhered exactly where my handmade flat-bars have been clamped on. This sanded out just fine afterwards with the random-orbit sander, and a number of grits of paper. I accomplished a tremendous-slick finish. This is how the prime of the base panel turned out. The grains are matched up on this side, so it is really prettier than its base aspect. Still left to dry… the handmade knotty pine flat bars worked out definitely very well (for this, and several subsequent panels).
