“The recently created yacht Baaden was being introduced stern 1st down the Fidalgo Marina boat ramp in Anacortes, Washington, with 8 shipyard personnel on board when it capsized
immediately after coming into the h2o at 2050 on Sunday, May perhaps 18, 2014. The yacht was salvaged but was declared a complete constructive reduction, approximated at $10 million. 3 shipyard staff who had been
trapped under decks for up to fifty percent an hour ended up taken care of for slight cuts and accidents at neighborhood hospitals. No pollution was reported.
New Globe Yacht Builders commenced design of the Baaden in December 2011, doing the job from an existing 80-foot-hull mold designed in 2002 by Northern Maritime. Like other huge Northern
Marine yachts, the vessel was custom built. The 80-foot mold was lengthened in the midsection and stem, the bow was supplied much more flare, and a swim system was included. The
