Terrible Notion. When the 1/8″ bit on the appropriate proved way too quick to finish reducing out the circle for the lazy susan, I figured I’d complete the work with my 1/8″ close mill from my mini mill. I forgot it failed to have a 1/4″ shank. I tried using to just wrap it in masking tape and overcrank the collet to definitely keep it tightly. I didn’t have significantly left to cut. I braced myself and set on my security goggles, and turned it on, wincingly. It spun and began spinning out a cone shape, angled way out of correct. I speedily turned it off, deserted the plan, and set up the band saw for chopping the circle the rest of the way by way of.
