    New Electrical Panel

The author decided to give their kitchen a facelift after their dishwasher detergent cup broke and they realized their dishwasher was over 30 years old. They hired KitchenSaver to replace the cabinet doors, countertop, and sink, and also hired a contractor to strip and repaint the woodwork and walls. The author, a retired architect, chose an Arts and Crafts style for the cabinet and drawer fronts and chose bronze/copper pulls in the same style. They also purchased new light fixtures for the kitchen and dining room, as well as installing dimmable LED lights below the cabinets and above the sink. They added a recycling/trash cabinet and pantry cabinet to fill in dead space, necessitating electrical work which required them to bring their electrical circuit breaker panel up to current codes. They also replaced the old light switch and added window treatments. The contractor accidentally got paint stripper on the existing oven exhaust hood, so the author replaced it with a new black hood to match the oven.

    Electrical Panel Replacement

August 2, 2019 – I resolved my kitchen area needed a facelift. This all started off due to the fact my dishwasher detergent cup no extended locks it broke in late June. The dishwasher was in the home when I bought it in 1995. It is likely 30 – 35 years old so it was time to switch it. I was just heading to change the dishwasher on the other hand the prior proprietors put a new tile floor in which blocks the dishwasher from currently being conveniently changed. I was by no means content with my kitchen area the only work I have done to it was to switch the unique fall-in oven which failed to operate when I purchased the home and the matching harvest gold exhaust hood was replaced with a white exhaust hood. I painted the partitions yellow in 1996. The oven I bought in 1995 died in March 2018 so the oven is only a year old. I also changed the kitchen faucet past August. I believed about just keeping the faucet but made a decision to update to a faucet with a pullout sprayer.

I engaged KitchenSaver to change the cabinet doors and drawer fronts, countertop and sink. I want the kitchen area to glimpse model new so employed a contractor to strip nearly 100 a long time worth of paint off the pantry and basement doors, doorway frames, window, window body and sill and repaint the woodwork and partitions. The contractor will also be installing wood base considering that the base was taken off by a former owner. I am also installing a Subway tile white backsplash which will go up to the base of the wall cupboards and on possibly side of the window.

I am a retired architect and it was enjoyable getting back again into style. I realized accurately what I wished and took me no time at all to find all the things.

I am likely with an Arts and Crafts oak cabinet and drawer fronts. The wooden stain is practically a perfect match to the household woodwork and my home furnishings. Doorway and drawer pulls are bronze/copper in the Arts and Crafts style.

I also bought new mild fixtures for the kitchen area and eating room the two with a bronze complete. KitchenSaver will be putting in 5 dimmable LED lights under the cupboards and above the sink.

I resolved to add a recycling/trash cabinet and pantry cabinet to fill in the lifeless place between the fridge and wall this necessitated the elimination of the existing quad outlet that the refrigerator is plugged into. (no outlet guiding the refrigerator) In purchase to do any electrical function in my house I experienced to deliver the current electrical circuit breaker panel up to present codes. Which meant I required to exchange the existing electrical circuit breaker panel. I experienced a duplex outlet included powering the refrigerator. With the new circuit breaker panel I now can use the microwave oven and toaster oven at the exact time. What a strategy! I also replaced the previous vogue knob and tube light-weight change which controls the basement light. The old swap frightened me and wasn’t secure.

New window therapies for the backdoor and window. I wasn’t equipped to discover a blind which matches the Sherwin Williams Indian White SW 1035 paint colour so I am likely with a Levelor Cordless Cellular blind that is an actual match to the Sherwin Williams Koi Pond SW 7727 wall colour.

Just one previous improvement the contractor received paint stripper on the current oven exhaust hood so I changed the hood with a new black hood which matches the oven.
