However yet another superb artists’ thought of an early LEM/CSM style and design (ca. 1962), depicting LEM ascent stage jettison. The shading, spectacular lunar terrain and total consideration to depth are spectacular.

Another masterpiece artists’ strategy of an early LEM style and design (ca. 1962), this time depicting the ascent stage liftoff from the lunar surface. The shading, spectacular lunar terrain, engine plume and total focus to detail is awesome. Even additional so than the LEM ‘just landed’ scene, as that had a photograph of the design as a template. To my understanding, there’s none these types of for this artistic standpoint. Be aware also that the Astronauts are still depicted as getting seated.

An encore bravo to Ludwik Źiemba and William A. Collopy!
