Day 72- Fisheye Friday in the shop!

March 13, 072/365- Expended numerous evenings this 7 days out in the shop developing a new altar table for our sanctuary that is in the middle of being remodeled. This will match the pulpit and other altar household furniture that I created last 12 months. Now to get it to the shop that is refinishing the other things so it truly is all completely ready and in location for the Easter service.

It truly is astounding how dusty it is in this photograph given that I do have admirers and a big air filtration program, but I experienced also just concluded sanding. I really want to thoroughly clean the shop, it really is in no way this dirty, definitely!

  • Folding Table Stand

    Folding Table Stand

    Folding Table Stand

This folding stand was observed on the principal deck, just outside the house the Surgeon’s cabin.

It is created of two light-weight frames, with chamfered uprights (114.3cm lengthy) and ogee cut outs on the higher and decreased rails (76cm broad), joined with a picket peg. There are also indentations where by a leather-based strap would have prevented them from opening way too much. Just one of the upper rails is marked with the Roman numeral IV, suggesting this might have been section of a established, whilst no many others were found on board.

This stand is most most likely for a desk, even though it’s much too minimal for a complete-top eating desk or one particular at which the person could easily stand. The height is most practical when made use of by a sitter, and it may well be that the stand initially acted as a type of campaign desk supporting a easy removable board top rated to keep a map.
