    Creating an Art Float for Social Change

    We are generating an Art Float for Social Adjust at Tam Makers, to inspire much more men and women to take part in democracy. Our parade float will reach out to youth and individuals of colour as a result of art, audio and technological innovation. We will current this artwork exhibit on Earth Day, Memorial Day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all through California this slide, to motivate people today to vote in the upcoming election.

    Our exclusive art float celebrates mom earth with a carousel of waving arms, pulled by a giant feathered serpent. Performers will tell tales of hope on a phase adorned with scenes of a superior planet. Substantial indications will invite persons to communicate up and vote! You can pitch suggestions for social alter on the podium, or have them scroll on the information ticker.

    This neighborhood art venture is established by a staff of students and makers, led by Fabrice Florin and Geo Monley, co-founders of Tam Makers in Mill Valley. We are grateful to Tam Significant Faculty for web hosting this challenge and to all our wonderful volunteers and art, civic and academic partners, for helping build this float and present it to a varied local community.

    We are setting up this venture in March and April 2018, on Thursday evenings from 4 to 9pm — or Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to volunteer, please electronic mail us at float@tammakers.org.

    We are making an Artwork Float for Social Improve at Tam Makers, to inspire more people to take part in democracy. Our parade float will attain out to youth and individuals of colour by way of artwork, audio and know-how. We will present this artwork exhibit on Earth Working day, Memorial Working day and Fourth of July parades in Marin — and all through California this fall, to stimulate individuals to vote in the next election.
