  • Sewing box carved by hand.

    Hand carved sewing box

The artist built a sewing box and carved a knotwork design, possibly inspired by the Book of Kells or a medieval reliquary. The design proved challenging because of a weak joint/hinge point at the top. Similar designs exist without this issue, and the artist discovered that the sewing box design itself resembled the reliquary.

  • Gluing Up a Seat Board

    Seat Board Glue-up

The author had to abandon an outside project due to inclement weather and returned to their shop to work on the seat board. They only took one still photograph of the process as they had recorded a video of the work. However, they needed to figure out how to import the video from their new camera onto their computer.

The weather can be a significant factor when it comes to working on outdoor projects. Safety should always be the top priority, and if the weather is not cooperating, it may be best to take a break or move the project indoors. In this case, the author decided to return to their shop to continue working on the project.

The author had been working on a seat board and had used glue to hold it together. Gluing an object together involves spreading a thin layer of adhesive over the surface of two pieces to be joined and pressing them tightly together. This process creates a strong bond between the surfaces, holding them together.

In the midst of their work, the author decided to take a still photograph of their progress. This is a common practice among builders and craftsmen who want to document their progress or record their work for others to see. By taking a photograph, the author could show others what they had done up to that point in the project.

However, the author had also recorded a video of their work. Videos can be more beneficial than photographs as they can show each stage of the process and give a better idea of how the project was put together. With video, it is often easier to understand a builder’s thought process and see exactly how an object was constructed.

The author mentioned that they had a new camera and needed to figure out how to import the video onto their computer. This process can be challenging for some individuals, especially if they are not tech-savvy or if they are unfamiliar with the camera’s software.

Importing video from a camera onto a computer typically involves connecting the camera to the computer, opening the camera’s software, and following the instructions provided. The exact process will vary depending on the camera and the software being used. Some cameras may require additional software or drivers to be installed before the video can be imported successfully.

In conclusion, the author had to abandon their outdoor project due to weather conditions and moved their work indoors where they glued the seat board together. They took a still photograph of their progress and recorded a video which they needed to import onto their computer. Importing video from a camera can be a challenge, but it is achievable with the proper software and guidance.

I purchased this edge-trimming resource to velocity up the process of cleaning up the edges on a bunch of shelf sections. It labored terrific! Most effective $20 I’ve used in a prolonged time.

(I shaved the edges off 10 boards in fewer than 10 minutes, in contrast to employing sandpaper to thoroughly clean up 1 board in 20 minutes.)
