The author had a problem with their tiny cabinet doors being the same width as their respective openings, which did not allow for the necessary gaps for hinges and swinging open the doors. The author decided to use a General marking ruler with 0.5mm holes in it to mark the line of where they wanted to shave away material. They then clamped the board to the line in parallel bars made from 2x2s and sanded the door edges flush with the bars using a random-orbit sander. Although the process was messy, it worked out well, and the author looks forward to using a Delta dust collector that is currently in shipment.
