    So there my David is in a south Mississippi healthcare facility, 450 miles from household.

    Folks at Gulf Wars came out of the proverbial woodwork to get our tent down, our matters packed, and 2 autos loaded up. The head of our encampment arranged for another person to drive David’s SUV to the healthcare facility (30 miles from the Gulf Wars website) whilst I drove my van. The SCA connected things is all carried out and taken care of. Whew. *gratitude to friends and strangers*

    And there I am in a hospital as the “future of kin-form person”, with the only clean up clothes I have staying SCA garb. Permit me convey to you, men and women REMEMBERED me! LOL.

    I most likely glimpse like heck in this photograph, as I might been explained to the working day right before that David had experienced 2 strokes in the previous week “and it dun’t appear great fer ‘im”. Luckily, all he had experienced was a TIA, no long term destruction.

    Board video games can be a fantastic thing on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

    Rain = no lawn work or woodworking on David’s working day off. No Net entry = a to some degree cranky me. Recreation = acquiring exciting in its place of biting each other’s heads off.

    The area SCA group had a course last month on building a “peg with each other bench” that is easy to transportation to functions, appears to be much more appropriately ‘period’ than a folding chair from Wal-Mart, and comes in handy for (duh …) sitting down on.

    Currently was component 2 of the class, and I went together for observational and “hanging out” uses.

    Listed here my dear David is smoothing out a gap drilled in a person of the legs. If he occurred to discover the camera, he is undoubtedly peering roguishly at me 😛

    The “Southern Consortium” started up in advance of I joined the SCA as a, properly, consortium, of the teams south of Atlanta in the Kingdom of Meridies. My Lord’s* group, Tir Briste (Warner Robins, GA) is element of it.

    These days it really much exists as a identify – for instance of our Gulf Wars encampment.

    This 365 was taken from the issue of perspective of our team campfire. I experienced the uneasy feeling that our tent seemed like a little something you would uncover in a medieval model of a trailer park – kinda junky (the masking tarp was a freebie and has a Large amount of duct tape masking holes from the rain!) – with Things all more than the spot that wouldn’t healthy in the tent (in between his woodworking and blacksmithing and my knitting and mountain of garb …) –

    Then a person visiting the camp stated “Hey glimpse! Bedouin!” and I felt substantially much better.

    Culture for Resourceful Anachronism, Kingdom of Gleann Abhann. Celebration “Gulf Wars XIX” by many participating groups from quite a few Kingdoms. Held at King’s Arrow Ranch, Lumberton, Mississippi, in March 2010.
