Side Street Projects - Alternate Routes: Education on Wheels

Each and every 12 months, 1,500 children participate in our Alternate Routes program—a mobile art studio aboard renovated transit buses wherever little ones find out about art, style and design, and fabrication employing only hand applications, uncooked supplies, and their creativeness. Over 10,000 kids age 5-11 have been on the bus given that 1997, 50 percent of which are at-possibility youth who participated at no cost many thanks to grants and private donations.
