Every calendar year, 1,500 small children participate in our Alternate Routes program—a cellular artwork studio aboard renovated transit buses wherever little ones master about artwork, structure, and fabrication applying only hand resources, uncooked components, and their imagination. More than 10,000 little ones age 5-11 have been on the bus because 1997, fifty percent of which are at-chance youth who participated at no charge many thanks to grants and non-public donations.
