St Botolph, Shingham, Norfolk

A pleasant very little church in the agricultural landscape in between Downham Current market and Swaffham. It fell into disuse in the early 20th Century and was deserted and roofless for a lot of years. Finally it was saved by the Mason relatives, tenants of the land on which the church sits. A wonderful Norman south doorway and an enchanting interior of previous wooden, brick and stone.
