In this challenge we re-sawed outdated growth, 3×8 barn joists from Bath NY. They are gorgeous old expansion southern yellow pine that was cut down in the 1870s-1880s and was hundreds of a long time outdated at that time. These trees almost certainly predated the American Revolution. I count about 120 rings per 8 inches!

The solid iron foundation was reclaimed from a rest room of the previous unwed moms and kid’s household on Harvard Location in Buffalo.
