The Restore and Restoration is taught in the 4th, or summer season quarter at the Northwest School of Wood Boatbuilding.
Learners discover to evaluate a boat’s affliction, conduct an informal study, and establish a repair service or restoration prepare for vessels. They discover to safely and securely reove each aspect of a wood vessel, restore it or make a new, substitution section, and reinstall it in the vessel.
Here, you can see the progress learners are producing replanking the Herreshoff ALERION in for repair service for the duration of the summer season of 2007.
The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding is located in Port Hadlock WA and is a personal, accredited non-profit vocational university. The Pete Culler-built launch is in the track record. Whilst not designed at the University, it was fixed there that summer.
