Tough working day these days. Following waiting around two months for all the lacquer to cure I gave the entire body its final sand-down, followed by rubbing compound, guitar polish and T-Lower!
To be honest the paintwork won’t glance all that fantastic not up close in any case. It does truly feel fairly excellent immediately after all the sprucing, but the finishing of the paint and lacquer leaves a lot to be desired. Oh well.
Upcoming move was fitting the bridge posts and earth wire – the posts ended up hammered in with a 16oz mallet and the base a person seems to have a strong connection to the earth wire – fantastic!
Then, on to shielding the cavity with copper foil. Person, that was a royal ache. That things is sharp and I ended up with 3 cuts that bled all above the bodywork!
Testing with the multimeter indicates I have good continuity during the shielding, and from the bridge write-up to the close of the earth wire, so in theory at least thats a appropriate outcome.
