The chapel is entered at the north-west corner beneath a cloistered walkway from the quadrangle and soon after turning remaining via the ante-chapel a person is achieved by the sight of the stunning white plastered inside attractively framed by the picket columns supporting the organ gallery. The woodwork of the organ and stalls is richly carved and the decorative plasterwork of the walls and ceiling in unique build a most satisfying influence. The chancel beyond (Scott’s addition from 1880) is framed by a loaded arch supported by Corinthian columns and has a Venetian east window stuffed with glass extra in 1906, the only colored window in the chapel. Shown in the ante-chapel is a pleasant medieval alabaster carving depicting the Virgin with St Michael.
