Parmesan-coated Truffle French Fries

Truffle fries with parmesan

The writer of this blog post, titled “Melanie’s Birthday,” discusses their recent visit to Mission Beach Cafe in San Francisco, California for a celebratory meal. They specifically mention the truffle fries with parmesan, which they photographed using their Olympus E-P2 camera with a M. Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm lens. The resulting image was processed using Adobe Camera RAW, nik Sharpener Pro (for raw presharpening), Topaz DeNoise 3, nik Color Efex Pro (for adjusting contrast and warmth), and BorderFX. The settings used were 1/13 second shutter speed, ISO 1200, and 14mm focal length (equivalent to 28mm on a full-frame camera).

The writer notes that they wish the E-P2 had a “food shot” mode like their Sony camera, which would help preserve colors and contrast for post-processing. They also provide a link to the original photograph, which may require them to add the viewer as a contact on the platform.
