Ian is on a work trip to Warrington for an audit. He wakes up early and packs his bags before going for a walk and taking some photos. He then heads to the car hire place where he is given a Toyota Yaris without sat nav. Using his phone for directions, he sets off towards Warrington to get audited. However, he decides to visit St Mary and All Saints, the parish church of the House of York, which is where Richard III was buried. He then continues his journey, stopping by St Mary’s Church in Titchmarsh before heading to his friend’s place in Warrington. From there, he heads to a golf resort where he will be staying for the remainder of his trip.
Despite being audited, Ian makes the most of his trip by visiting historical sites along the way. He is particularly interested in St Mary and All Saints, which was the parish church of the House of York, a significant historical landmark. While the church does not have as many memorials as other historical sites, it is still an impressive structure. He leaves there and stops by St Mary’s Church in Titchmarsh which has lots of wall paintings but not much of interest.
After his sightseeing excursion, Ian heads to his friend’s place in Warrington where they catch up for a bit before he receives a call from a colleague telling him about heavy snowfall in the area. He sets off to the golf resort where he will be staying for the rest of his trip. It is a 16-mile drive, and the snow makes it quite difficult for him. Not only is the final mile slippery, but his car’s fuel light comes on, adding anxiety to the journey. Despite the challenges, Ian makes it to the resort safe and sound, ready for his audit.
